iDS, and iDS staff with prior organizations, has been involved in cases that are directly on point with your current project. To wit:
- In a recent ITAR (International Trafficking in Arms Regulations) case, we went in-country to search, destroy and document specific intellectual property files. This case involved an initial set of keywords and custodians, which expanded during the course of the investigation due to the successful application of methodologies created by iDS. The case concluded with a final report prepared for the Department of Defense.
In an international theft-of-intellectual property case we acquired adverse party hard drives, analyzed and identified IP, installed a multi-point packet sniffing system for the subsequent monitoring of IP transmission.
- In an extremely large anti-trust lawsuit, iDS has developed proprietary tools to deeply analyze custodial file behavior to trace information throughout an organization.
- In an international litigation, we have worked with numerous code-sheet, translation and multi-lingual search and keyword issues which we believe to be relevant to your challenges of Korean and English keywords, translations, language sets and software platforms.
- In an international matter requiring the need to identify users' computer activities, we have identified, traced packets and data flow, analyzed this evidence, and provided written testimony regarding our findings.
- In an international IP licensing litigation, we have developed and provided 30(b)(6) testimony on the computer and network systems spanning the globe covering thousands of servers and hundreds of databases and document repositories.
- Testimony and counter-testimony research and support on a variety of corporate document management and archive systems including Exchange, Enterprise Vault, Documentum, IBM's TSM and other corporate repositories, archives and backup systems.
- Extensive experience in Asian document collection, processing, investigation and reporting in Chinese, Korean and Japanese.
- In forensic technology analysis for multiple IP investigations, we have analyzed data in proprietary data formats, mechanical and scientific visualization software, databases, drawing software, and other types of non-standard data types.
- In developing legal, compliance and technical monitoring requirements, our team has recommended, managed, deployed, and administered end-point access control systems.
