The WBADC will celebrate its centennial, with this year’s theme being “Looking Back and Moving Forward”
iDiscovery Solutions, Inc. (iDS), an award-winning legal technology expert services and consulting firm, is proud to announce its sponsorship of the Women’s Bar Association of DC (WBADC) 2017 Annual Dinner on May 17. At the gala event, to be held at The National Building Museum from 6:00-9:00 p.m., the WBADC will celebrate its centennial and honor their 2017 Woman Lawyer of the Year, Ana Reyes of Williams & Connolly LLP. There will be special remarks from D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser and American Bar Association President, Linda Klein.
Founded in 1917, the WBA is one of the oldest voluntary bar associations in the United States dedicated to the advancement of women in the law. As an organization, they provide opportunities for women in the profession to develop the skills and networks needed that will advance them to the next stage in their career, to promotions, to take on leadership positions, and to transition out of or back into the workforce.
2017 Woman Lawyer of the Year, Ana C. Reyes, Partner and Co-chair of the International Litigation Practice Group at Williams & Connolly LLP, focuses her practice on complex litigation and international arbitration. She has handled matters for foreign governments and officials, multi-national corporations, and international organizations. She also devotes a substantial portion of her practice to pro bono work, representing refugee organizations and refugees seeking asylum in the United States.
“It’s an honor to attend the WBA’s Annual Dinner celebrating their centennial and Ms. Reyes,” said iDS’ Jennifer Brennan, a member of the WBADC and ABA. “All of us at iDS are excited to support this outstanding organization as they look back at the amazing 100 years they’ve just had, while acknowledging the work that still needs to be done to shape the future of women lawyers for the next 100 years.”
iDS will also be sponsoring the WBA’s “Stars of the Bar” event in Fall 2017.
